Another Round of Layoffs at Walt Disney Studios

In wake of management shakeup, staff cuts at studio’s home entertainment division

On the same day that Walt Disney Studios head Rich Ross put the final touches on his management team with a series of promotions and departures, the studio also implemented a small round of layoffs, a Disney spokesperson confirmed to TheWrap.

The staff cuts are primarily in the studio’s home-entertainment division. The studio said that today’s move was part of an ongoing consolidation instituted by Ross when he took over as chairman in October.

The number of people let go is said to be less than one percent of the total studio staff.
