The campaign that just keeps on giving to late night hosts and pun-happy headline writers, Anthony Weiner's run for mayor of New York City, has just presented the world with a new gift: communications director Barbara Morgan, who went on a bizarre curse-filled tirade against a former intern. To a reporter.

Talking Points Memo's Hunter Walker (who has worked for TheWrap) called Morgan on Tuesday to discuss another matter when, he wrote, Morgan went off about Olivia Nuzzi, the former intern who had recently spoken unfavorably about her short time on the Weiner campaign to the New York Daily News:
And then like she had the fucking balls to like trash me in the paper. And be like, "His communications director was last the press secretary of the Department of Education in New Jersey." You know what? Fuck you, you little cunt. I’m not joking, I am going to sue her.
Morgan added:
Fucking slutbag. Nice fucking glamor shot on the cover of the Daily News. Man, see if you ever get a job in this town again.

Needless to say, Morgan's colorful description of her former intern got a lot of attention. Morgan herself responded later that night to Business Insider, saying: "In a moment of frustration, I used inappropriate language in what I thought was an off the record conversation. It was wrong and I am very sorry, which is what I said tonight when I called and emailed Olivia to apologize."
Talking Points Memo editor Josh Marshall denied Morgan's claim that her comments were off the record, tweeting "No question the interview was on the record."
Morgan has not offered any further justification for her comments, but it's safe to assume that she's been under a lot of pressure lately.
