Apple may have learned a lesson from its maps disaster.
The latest version of the company's music player, iTunes 11, was delayed for extra tweaking until the end of November despite its expected October launch, a company spokesman told TheWrap.
The update, which will include a redesign, will integrate more closely with Apple's cloud-computering service iCloud.
"The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right," Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr said in a statement to TheWrap. "We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November."

Apple also updated its iTunes page on its website with an orange label, saying the new product is "coming in November."
The release delay comes after Apple was criticized for glitches in its Maps and Siri features in the new iOS 6.
