‘Arrested Development’ Season 4: Liza Minnelli Signs on to Return

Liza Minnelli will reprise her role as Lucille Austero for Netflix-revived "Arrested Development"

"Arrested Development"'s upcoming fourth season just got a little Liza.


Liza Minnelli is returning to the series to reprise her role as Lucille Austero, neighbor and frenemy to Jessica Walter's Lucille Bluth, an individual familiar with the production told TheWrap.

It is not known how many episodes of the season the singer/actress will appear in.  

Minnelli portrayed Austero in 10 episodes of the show's original run on Fox.

The upcoming fourth season of "Arrested Development" will premiere on Netflix next spring. Originally slated for 10 episodes, the season will likely be extended, with a Netflix spokeswoman telling TheWrap last month that the season will run at least 10 episodes.
