I think the reason that the DeLorean family has put their stamp of approval one the one project is because Mayer Morganroth - the scum attorney that dogged DeLorean to his dying day for a bogus law suit, has threatened to sue the DeLorean estate if he does not get his pound of flesh from the sale of the movie.

Sharon, given your extensive experience with the Times, maybe you could explain the necessity of DeLorean's family's OK. Looks more like blackmail because the guy's a public figure. I cannot imagine why the family is required if the movies stick with the public record or extrapolation -- anything *but* personal family history type stuff. For that matter, the story itself is reasonably compelling; how well known the DeLorean name is now is another issue. I'd venture pretty much unknown. So the value of the name is minimal, I would think. Looks like just a family shakedown (irony notwithstanding).
