Vengeance is on the mind in the first full trailer for FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.”
“I will not allow that man, that nobody, to kill my brother twice,” Donatella Versace (Penelope Cruz) says in the promo ahead of the Jan. 17 premiere.
Ryan Murphy’s upcoming limited series centers on Andrew Cunanan murdering fashion designer Gianni Versace in front of his Miami home in 1997.
It also stars Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace, Darren Criss as Cunanan and Ricky Martin as Antonio D’Amico.
Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Tom Rob Smith and Dan Minahan are executive producers on the project from Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
“Versace” is the second installment in the “American Crime Story” series. It launched last year with “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” which picked up nine Emmys.
