Brian Grazer, Walter Murch Honored by Sound Editors

MPSE sets honorary winners for 58th Golden Reel Awards

Producer Brian Grazer and sound designer and editor Walter Murch will be honored with special awards at the 58th annual Golden Reel Awards ceremony, the Motion Picture Sound Editors announced on Tuesday.

Walter MurchGrazer, producer of "A Beautiful Mind," "Apollo 13" and "Frost/Nixon," among others, was named the sound editing organization's 2011 MPSE Filmmaker Recipient. Murch (left), a nine-time Oscar nominee and three-time winner (for "Apocalypse Now" and "The English Patient"), was named the 2011 MPSE Career Achievement Recipient.

The Golden Reel Awards will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on February 20, 2011.
