Not quite live, from Yahoo!, it's "Saturday Night Live."

The web juggernaut and Broadway Video Entertainment have reached a deal to bring the  “Saturday Night Live” archives to Yahoo, the companies announced. The archives, from the NBC show's 1975 debut until the present, will be available on Sept. 1.

The clips will be removed from Hulu and NBC.com, where they are now available, and be posted on Yahoo exclusively for a year.

Besides episodes, the Yahoo archives will also feature behind-the-scenes clips, dress rehearsal outtakes, and select musical performances.

Jon Stewart welcome the man sometimes called "Egypt's Jon Stewart" to "The Daily Show" -- but only after Bassem Youssef's bodyguards swept the studio and frisked Stewart.

"Bassam!" Stewart asked at the conclusion of the bit Wednesday. "What was that?"

"America is not that safe anymore. It's a little dangerous," Youssef replied. "I'm a little bit scared to be here."

Fox's "American Idol" is having a really bad week. The network’s big revenue generator is showing signs of distress. 

"The falloff has really been the last two years," Brad Adgate of media-buying firm Horizon Media told TheWrap. "You have to look at what's happened since then with the competition and the audience fatigue and the judges and the number of choices out there."

At its height in 2006, the show was attracting about 30 million viewers an episode. Compare that number to last week's results episode, which brought in 11.9 million total viewers and was beat in the key 18-49 demo by repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" – yes, reruns.
