Axl Rose Endorses Obama (Kind Of) on Kimmel

Rose has no regrests when it comes to cornrows

In his first television interview in two decades, Axl Rose revealed that he doesn't regret his cornrows, likes to display a "Halloween tree," and leans toward President Obama, though he may not actually vote.

He also said his band has been much more punctual lately. The Guns 'N' Roses frontman appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to promote a 12-night residency at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas.

He said the Halloween tree he displays at home is "one of the most evil things I've ever done."

When trick-or-treaters come to his door, he said, they see his tree and want one, too.

"And then their parents would call me for about three months: 'You son of a…'" he said.

Rose also explained that he doesn't always vote, because he lives in California. Since California voters tend to support the Democratic candidate in a landslide, there's less need for him to vote, he said.

"I'm in California and it usually weighs Democratic and that's usually where I'm leaning anyway," he said.

"This would make a great 'Rock the Vote' commercial right here," Kimmel said. He also noted the irony of the latest Guns shows being called "Appetite for Democracy."

"I'm not helping," Rose admitted. "But I would lean Democrat. I would lean Obama."
