‘Bachelor’ Contestant Gia Allemand’s Funeral Plans Set

The former alum of ABC's reality show died last week of an apparent suicide

Gia Allemand, the former "Bachelor" contestant who died last week of apparent suicide at age 29, will receive her funeral on Thursday, a representative for the reality TV contestant said Monday.

Allemand's funeral will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Grace Church in New York's Chelsea area, the spokeswoman said in an announcement. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ET at Papavero Funeral Home.

According to the representative, both the funeral and visitation "will be open with the intention to welcome family and friends from near and far." However, cameras and cell phones will not be permitted inside.

"All arrangements have been made by family in an effort to honor Gia the best way they know how," the spokeswoman said.

Allemand was found in her home by her boyfriend, NFL player Ryan Anderson, and transported to New Orleans' University Hospital on Aug. 12. The model was placed on life support, but was removed from life support two days later due to "a critical loss of brain and organ function.
