‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Star Jesse Eisenberg Talks Lex Luthor, Secrecy of Production on ‘Late Night’ (Video)

The “Social Network” star revealed about how co-star Henry Cavill sneaks back and forth from set unnoticed

Jesse Eisenberg appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Thursday to talk about his role in the highly anticipated “Man of Steel” sequel, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Eisenberg will play Superman’s nemesis Lex Luthor in the film hitting theaters next year, and a recent photo showed the “Social Network” star sporting a shaved head for the role.

“I came out of the womb with a full head of hair. I’ve never been able to touch my scalp. Yes, it’s freezing,” Eisenberg said. “It’s really strange. It’s the kind of thing where I can really damage myself. I want to wear a helmet.”

“That makes Lex Luthor seem so much less intimidating,” Meyers joked.

Meyers asked about the secrecy surrounding the film, as a paparazzi snapped a shot of Eisenberg walking around on set wearing a floral-print bandanna covering his shaved head. “It’s like E.T. in the basket, basically,” Meyers said.

Eisenberg is not the only one forced to walk to and from set in disguise.

“Superman, you know Henry Cavill, he’ll walk to set in kind of baggy sweatpants and then take them off and he’s wearing the suit,” Eisenberg said.

“I think you’d want to walk to set not in full Superman,” Meyers said. “Because Superman is so much less interesting if you have to stop at craft services and get pasta salad.”
