‘Beavis and Butt-head’ Returns — Why You Should Watch

“Twilight” inspires them to become “undead” and Butt-head catches Beavis crying over … “The Bachelor”?

Let's be honest: TV viewers need Beavis and Butt-head. Their stupidity makes them exactly the kinds of critics reality TV deserves.

Music videos will make up less of their TV diet, replaced largely by reality shows, namely their MTV brethren "16 & Pregnant," "Teen Cribs" and "Jersey Shore."

In the premiere, a peek at a teen babydaddy and his pal on "16 & Pregnant" leads Butt-head to draw the spot-on conclusion that "this guy looks like he might be stupider than us."

Well, maybe not.

The boys hatch a plot to turn themselves into vampires or werewolves, because they've just watched "Twilight" and noted how much girls like vampires and werewolves.

Later, Butt-head believes an episode of "The Bachelor" is to blame for making Beavis cry.

"You're moved," he says, and proceeds to torture his pal about the tears for a long time. A really long time … flash forward to senior citizen Beavis and Butt-head.

They are back. We are glad.

"Beavis and Butt-head" returns tonight at 10/9c p.m. on MTV.
