Dailies | Christian Bale's ‘Batman’ Advice For Ben Affleck: Make Sure You Can Take a Piss (Video)

The former Dark Knight is confident Affleck will make the iconic DC Comics character his own, but advises him to be able to go to the bathroom on his own

Christian Bale has offered Ben Affleck some words of whizdom before the “Argo” director puts on the new batsuit to film “Batman vs. Superman.”

“The only thing I said to him is [to] make sure he could take a piss without anyone having to help him,” Bale told Access Hollywood at an “Out of the Furnace” press junket in Los Angeles.  ”Because it's a little bit humiliating when you have to have somebody help you out of the costume in order to do that.”

Bale, who played the caped crusader in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster “Dark Knight” trilogy, thinks Affleck is “a very experienced actor and filmmaker,” so he doesn't anticipate any issues beyond the bathroom.

Either way, Bale reminded fans of the Warner Bros. franchise that it's not about the actor who plays Batman — it's about the character.

“It's great to see the symbol of Batman is so much bigger than one person — than any film, any comic book, any TV series — that's really what it's all about,” Bale added. “And it's irrelevant which actor is playing it.”
