As Ben Affleck gets ready for a box office battle this weekend with the opening of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the actor took time out from the media whirlwind to do — what else? — win some puppies.
But these weren’t any ordinary cute pooches.
All the prizes in Jimmy Fallon‘s latest round of “Pup Quiz” on Thursday’s “Tonight Show” were dressed up as their favorite superhero.
First up was a golden retriever puppy dressed as Batman, for which Affleck was asked the “name of Batman’s canine crime-fighting partner in the DC Comics.” Hint: The answer is not Batdog, which is the reply the actor currently playing Batman gave — and the puppy went to Fallon.
Fortunately, he got his revenge in the next round and bag a furball dressed as Superman to snuggle with.
Fallon came out fighting, though, and was soon swimming with puppies as Wonder Woman, The Flash, Supergirl and Batgirl joined the pack on his lap.
But in a surprise comeback, Affleck took the final jeopardy “win all” round and got to take home the entire superhero litter, which his three children with Jennifer Garner will no doubt be very excited about.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” swoops into theaters Friday.
“The Tonight Show” airs at 11:35/10:35c on NBC.
