Beyonce explains away the infamous Solange-Jay Z elevator incident in her new “Flawless” remix with Nicki Minaj, but the super star’s justification might leave you scratching your head.

“We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators,” sings Beyonce, in the track that was dropped in the middle of the night Sunday morning. “Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”

The exact net worth of Beyonce and her husband Jay Z isn’t publicly known, but Forbes estimates the couple earned a combined $95 million in a recent 12 month period — so it makes sense Beyonce would round up to $1 billion for lyrical purposes. Her blaming the altercation on their wealth, however, remains completely perplexing.

“Winning is my motherfucking protocol, because I score before I ever throw the ball,” raps Minaj, who has made waves as of late with risque videos and album covers. It’s the first collaboration between Beyonce and Minaj.

Security footage showed Beyonce watching while sister Solange unexpectedly and inexplicably wailed on her husband Jay Z in the corner.
