New York City mayor Bill de Blasio blasted GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in a Facebook post, calling him racist.
“I didn’t realize this was in question. He behaves like a racist, he speaks like a racist…of course Donald J. Trump is a racist,” the Facebook message said.
“The solution isn’t complicated, either: we must tax the super rich, reform Wall Street and create good jobs with good wages,” de Blasio continued. “The answer to proto-fascism is better democracy. The answer to economic fear and insecurity is actual re-distribution of wealth.”
Mayor de Blasio, who campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Iowa, has also a recently posted: “In New York City, we value diversity. We welcome everyone. We respect the rights of all–regardless of religion, immigration status, sexual orientation…or gender identity. And we do not tolerate discrimination.”
It was a tough weekend for the billionaire business mogul, who had to cancel a rally in Chicago on Friday due to outbreaks of violence between supporters and protesters, and was the target of a charging dissenter during a campaign event in Dayton, Ohio. Tomorrow, primaries will be held there and in the states of Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina.
