Bill Nye’s Netflix Talk Show Gets First Trailer Featuring Zach Braff, Rachel Bloom, Wil Wheaton (Video)

“Bill Nye Saves the World” will premiere April 21, 2017

Netflix has set the premiere date and released the first trailer for Bill Nye’s upcoming talk show, “Bill Nye Saves the World.”

The TV return of the Emmy Award-winning scientist will debut on April 21, 2017, and will feature model Karlie Kloss, YouTuber Derek Muller, comedian Nazeem Hussain, comedian Joanna Hausmann and producer Emily Calandrelli as correspondents.

Each episode of the show will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star Rachel Bloom, “Scrubs” stars Zach Braff Donald Faison, producer Steve Aoki, “Star Trek’s” Wil Wheaton and “Community’s” Joel McHale are among the guests to be featured.

“Bill Nye Saves the World” is produced for Netflix by Bunim/Murray Productions. Gil Goldschein and Julie Pizzi serve as executive producers for Bunim/Murray, alongside showrunner and executive producer Michael Naidus.

Standup comedian Mike Drucker serves as Head Comedy Writer and astronomer, author and award-winning science communicator Phil Plait serves as Head Science Writer.
