Bill O’Reilly Scolds Donald Trump for Skipping GOP Debate: Told You So

“You wanna confirm tonight that I was right?” O’Reilly asks real estate mogul

Bill O’Reilly tried to get Donald Trump to admit that skipping last week’s Fox News debate was a YUGE mistake.

During Friday’s episode of “The O’Reilly Factor,” the Fox News host asked the GOP presidential candidate, “You wanna confirm tonight that I was right?”

But Trump refused to acknowledge any error, saying he wasn’t sure if opting out of the televised debate had an impact on the Iowa caucus results, where Trump finished second to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Trump stood by his decision to hold a fundraiser for U.S. veterans instead.

But O’Reilly wasn’t going to let it go that easily, shooting back that Trump could have held the veterans event on another day.

“Can’t you give me a little credit that I was right?” asked O’Reilly.

“I’ll give you a little credit, but not too much,” Trump answered.

O’Reilly practically begged Trump to reconsider his decision to skip the Fox News GOP debate before the Iowa caucuses, to no avail.

On Tuesday, however, the billionaire businessman said in a news conference that his decision to boycott the debate may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.
