OK Go’s ‘The Writing’s On the Wall’ Bends Your Mind With Optical Illusions (Video)

OK Go has out done themselves with their latest music video

OK Go has added another gem to their long line of visually stunning music videos with “The Writing’s On the Wall.” The band’s previous videos have included entire cars turned into musical instruments, stop motion animation dancing, and extreme dominoes.

In a clip that took over three weeks and fifty takes to assemble, OK Go takes us through a fun house of moving perspective illusions which draw one to question their sanity. The optical illusions underlie the greater theme of the song that perspective is in the eye of the beholder – or in this case – in the eye of the camera.

The video does a great job of being visually compelling while not taking away from the music. But it leads one to wonder what they’ll do to top themselves next time.

The group’s new album Hungry Ghosts will be out in October, but for now you can watch the “The Writing’s On the Wall” video above.
