'Bachelorette' Episode 8: Jillian 1, Wes 0.

Tonight's episode begins in Madrid. The show starts with Jillian thinking out loud about the boys. We get a lot of rehashing of previous intimacies that she has shared with the final four.

This may be cool for those who are just tuning in, but we who have been watching since the start don’t need this rehashing. Blah blah blah … we learn nothing new, and I will never get these last seven minutes of my life back.

Maui looks beautiful and so does Jillian in her bikini. As the show opens, she draws a heart in the sand with a J and a question mark.

Oh boy … First date is Kiptyn, and she explains that 10 percent of her is uneasy about him. Jillian takes Kip on a ropes course, because she wants to make sure that he can be there for her. They kiss a lot. I’ve noticed that there are too many talking-head chats breaking up the action and narrating their thoughts -- this may become a problem.

The show opens with Jillian talking to the camera, smiling and saying, “I’ve probably done everything I swore I’d never do.”

Can you elaborate on that?

Anyway, Ed is up first, and he says he’s in love with her. It’s time to meet the family! Gramma says Ed is terrifically good looking, and everyone seems to like Ed from the get-go. The show plays up the drama of Ed telling his story of leaving, and there are some serious looks of concerns on papa Glen and mama Peggy’s face.
