The show opens with more quotes from Russell:
“This might be one of my best pieces of work I’ve ever done. Take that to the bank.”
Then: “It was almost as great as my kids being born."

As the episode begins on Night 21, the tribe is talking about food, and Russell, concerned that he’s next to go, is hoping for a miracle.
Survivor once again welcomes you to Blindside City.
It’s Night 18 and Foa Foa is in a horribly inferior position with four people out of 12. Russell has some big idears about getting members of Galu to move over, and he’s “too good for this game and too sly.” And, he’s ready to plant his seed in the other dumbasses heads.
After last week’s tribal non-vote, the tribes head back to camp, and at Galu Erik is back in his tree -- then out of his tree, but not figuratively. The guys talk about bringing Shambo along with them in their male alliance.
At Foa Foa, the tribe is happy that Russell is no longer in the game. Sly Russell is planning to win the next three immunity challenges.
At Galu, the guys now want to nominate Shambo as the chief. That way, Erik says, she’ll be “as deep in my pocket as the lint in the bottom.”
Nice diss, Erik.
Tonight’s episode begins with the tribes appearing very cold through the never-ending storms. Jaison says he wants to find a heart, you know, like the one from that cartoon he has trouble describing. Russell on the other hand is enjoying the miserable weather.
"Survivor’s" fourth episode begins with Jaison going on another rant. He’s hungry and tired, but says, “It’s the worst decision I’ve made in my entire life.” Yikes. Is he going to quit? Russell is even questioning Jaison’s manhood (no, not that manhood). Russell pulls a Mick Jagger by saying he’s got it all under his thumb right now.
Shambo is not happy because “there was a huge appreciation for Shambo” at Foa Foa. Uh oh, is she going to be another person who refers to herself in the third person?
Day 7 begins with Jaison threatening, “Ben’s out of here if we lose another challenge.” Russell brags that he’s the only one playing the game. He thinks he has the worst group in history. Which may be true given that he’s still there.
"Survivor" is looking even better in HD than it did last season -- are they using better cameras? Remember when Mark Burnett said he would never film in HD?
The show opens with Jillian talking to the camera, smiling and saying, “I’ve probably done everything I swore I’d never do.”
Can you elaborate on that?
Anyway, Ed is up first, and he says he’s in love with her. It’s time to meet the family! Gramma says Ed is terrifically good looking, and everyone seems to like Ed from the get-go. The show plays up the drama of Ed telling his story of leaving, and there are some serious looks of concerns on papa Glen and mama Peggy’s face.
Maui looks beautiful and so does Jillian in her bikini. As the show opens, she draws a heart in the sand with a J and a question mark.
Oh boy … First date is Kiptyn, and she explains that 10 percent of her is uneasy about him. Jillian takes Kip on a ropes course, because she wants to make sure that he can be there for her. They kiss a lot. I’ve noticed that there are too many talking-head chats breaking up the action and narrating their thoughts -- this may become a problem.
