Blumhouse Television Names Marci Wiseman, Jeremy Gold Co-Presidents

Execs will lead company’s scripted and unscripted programming expansion

Blumhouse Productions announced on Thursday that Marci Wiseman and Jeremy Gold will lead Blumhouse Television as co-presidents, focusing on the company’s expansion into scripted and unscripted television.

Jessica Rhoades, who served as Blumhouse’s head of television and built Blumhouse Television, will take on the role of EVP, Head of Programming & Development.

Wiseman previously served as an executive at AMC, where she launched AMC Studios. She currently serves as the EVP, Global Production and Business Affairs at eOne Television.

Gold is EVP at Endemol Shine Studios. Prior to joining Endemol, he served as the senior vice president of comedy at Fox Broadcasting Company, where he helped developed series such as “American Dad,” “The Bernie Mac Show” and “Arrested Development.”

“Blumhouse is committed to telling genre stories across all screens and we are so excited to take our television division to the next level,” Founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions Jason Blum said in a statement.

“Charles [Layton, President of Blumhouse], Jessica and I have long admired Marci’s and Jeremy’s remarkable track record of growing television businesses and are thrilled to have them on board as we transform Blumhouse Television and build on the remarkable foundation laid by Jessica.”

“It is a great privilege to join Blumhouse Television to reinforce the Blumhouse brand as a destination for established and gifted writers, directors, and storytellers with a unique voice to create bold original programming that can travel across multiple platforms globally,” Gold and Wiseman said in a joint statement.
