Flip through the channels to see some of your favorite TV stars lip-sync to “the greatest rock ‘n’ roll song of all time”
And you thought “I'm Not There” had a lot of Bob Dylans.
The mercurial maestro has released a video for “Like a Rolling Stone” some 48 years after it was released, and it's a multimedia masterpiece.
Using interactive video technology designed by Interlude, the video — a first for the song that Rolling Stone magazine declared the greatest rock song of all time — lets users “channel surf” through 16 well-known TV programs, all of whose stars are lip-synching along.
No matter where you are in the song, or what channel you're on, a TV personality is right on point … and for no real reason whatsoever, that's awesome.
The offerings run the gamut of your cable menu, including “Pawn Stars” (History); “Childhood Flavors” (Cuisine); “The Price is Right” (GSC); Mark Maron's “WTFC”; Sports Center (ESPN, and even the athletes are in on it); BBC News and many more (including one, Mus1c Classics, with Dylan himself).
But like a Dylan song, it's impossible to describe. You just have to experience it for yourself.
How does it feel?
