Boston Bombings: ABC Reschedules Bomb-Related ‘Castle’

The change was done “out of respect,” says cast member

In light of the terrorist attacks in Boston earlier this week, ABC is pulling an episode of “Castle” that features a bomb-related plot, a network spokesperson confirms to TheWrap.

The episode, “Still,” was scheduled to air on Monday, but ABC has moved it to April 29. In its place, another new episode, “The Squab and the Quail," will air.

“Yes. Out of respect,” Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett, tweeted about the move. “Please note that the chronology will [be] off.”

Here’s the network's episode description for “Still”:

"Beckett's life is on the line when she steps on a pressure sensitive bomb. While the team searches for a way to disarm the explosive, Castle distracts Beckett by arguing with her about who fell for whom first."

ABC’s decision follows other network schedule changes this week. NBC pre-empted “Revolution” for special news coverage. And Fox pulled an already aired episode of “Family Guy” from its website and Hulu after a repurposed video from the episode that made it seem like the animated show was depicting the Boston bombings went viral.
