Jeremy Renner will attempt to fill the void left by Matt Damon with the Aug. 3 release of "The Bourne Legacy," and the new, official trailer for the film gives a pretty good indication of how he'll match up.
In the film, Renner plays CIA operative Aaron Cross, who's tasked with providing the movie's US RDA of butt-kicking action, and judging from the trailer, he accomplishes the goal admirably. The red-meat moments from the snippet include plenty of gun play and face-smashing, along with a pulse-pounding motorcycle race.
"The Bourne Legacy" also stars Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz.
