The man, who has been identified as famed red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk, was arrested by the LAPD. The 25-year old was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery in lieu of $20,000 bail. The case is being handled by the Hollywood division.

Pitt appeared unharmed by the incident. He resumed signing fan autographs afterward.

Sediuk has a recent history of crashing various Hollywood events and creating awkward and uncomfortable situations with unsuspecting celebrities. Just last week, he put his head up America Ferrara’s dress at the Cannes premiere of “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”

In 2012, he got lightly slapped by Will Smith after he tried to kiss him on the lips on the red carpet at the premiere for “Men in Black 3.” He even made his way onto the stage at the 2013 Grammys, charging the stage before Adele could reach the podium to accept her award.

In January and February of this year, Sediuk repeated the same prank, charging actors Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio at different events. In both cases, he dropped to his knees, and hugged the men around their waists.
