Bret Ernst Gets ‘Tagged’ to Join Fox Pilot

Funny “Weeds” alum joins Gary Cole in comedy pilot set at Baltimore Country coroner’s office

We would have been pulling for the Fox pilot "Tagged" — an ensemble comedy set at the Baltimore County coroner's office — even if its creators had decided to surround its lead actor by a cast made up entirely of mimes.

That's because we will literally watch anything featuring Gary Cole.

Luckily, "Tagged" seems to be entirely mime-free and has now added the also-funny comedian Bret Ernst to a growing supporting cast that also includes Robin Givens ("Head of the Class") and Mel Rodriguez ("Running Wilde"). New Wave Entertainment, which represents Ernst, tells TheWrap that the "Weeds" alum will play Hendricks, a resident medical examiner.

Fingers crossed that this Hendricks guy isn't also schooled in the art of mime.

Here's Ernst doing a bit about roller-skating in "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show."
