Robin Schwartz Named President of TV at Brillstein Entertainment, Re-Ups With ABC Studios

Schwartz had previously worked at OWN, Regency Television, ABC Family and NBC

Former OWN executive Robin Schwartz has been named the president of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, replacing Brillstein's outgoing TV head JoAnn Alfano.

Brillstein has also signed a new two-year overall deal with ABC Studios, which continues the decade-long relationship between Brillstein and ABC Studios.

A founding president of OWN, Schwartz was also previously the president of Regency Television. Prior to that, she was vice president of programming at ABC Family, where she helped rebrand the channel and developed a franchise of romantic movies that starred Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey and Lisa Kudrow, among others. She also served as vice president of primetime series and children's programming at NBC, helping to develop series such as "Will & Grace" and "E.R."

"Brillstein has long been one of the standard bearers in our industry and I am thrilled to be working with them, as well as ABC Studios," Schwartz said. "I am very excited about the opportunity to create entertaining and memorable television alongside such creative and talented people."
