The late actress is one of many suspicious characters in the stalker thriller
The first trailer for “Something Wicked” (above) teases a murder mystery revolving around a pair of newlyweds (Shantel VanSanten, John Robinson) who survive a car crash that the bride's parents were killed in.
As the couple tries to move on with their life, a stalker shows up to make things more difficult, and everyone is a suspect — including the bride's sister-in-law (Murphy) and peeping-tom brother (James Patrick Stuart).
Directed by Darin Scott and written by Joe Colleran, “Something Wicked” premieres on April 4 at the Regal Valley River Center 15 in Eugene, OR. before expanding to just 19 other theaters this month.
Murphy died in her Los Angeles home on Dec. 20, 2009 at the age of 32. The L.A. county coroner determined her accidental death was caused by community acquired pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.
