Bruce Jenner has had tabloid media speculating for months that he is transitioning from male to female, and will reportedly confirm the rumors soon, and even allow television viewers to follow him on his journey.

According to People, the Olympian-turned-reality star best known for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is filming his transition for a docu-series that will air on E! “when he is ready to be open about his transition.”

“Bruce is transitioning to a woman,” a source close to the Kardashian family told People. “He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he’s doing. He’s in such a great space. That’s why it’s the perfect time to do something like this.”

A representative for E! told TheWrap that the network had no comment.

Jenner, 65, has been photographed with longer hair, painted finger nails, earrings and cosmetic make-up. People reports “his changes have been subtle,” in order to allow his family “the chance to slowly get used to his new looks and life.”

Jenner is divorced from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, and father to reality star daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Children from two previous marriages include daughter Cassandra and sons Burt, Brandon, Brody. The latter rose to fame as a cast member of MTV series “The Hills.”

Kardashian sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are Jenner’s stepdaughters.

“Bruce should tell his story his way,” Kim Kardashian West said during an “Entertainment Tonight” interview. “I think everyone goes through things in life, but I do think that that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right.”
