Bruce Rosenblum Leaving Warner Bros. TV

Craig Hunegs, Peter Roth and Jeffrey Schlesinger moving up

Warner Bros. Television Group CEO Bruce Rosenblum is on his way out, a move which was anticipated ever since he was passed over for chief executive of all of Warner Bros. in favor of Kevin Tsujihara.

The exit opens the door for WB TV's executive vice president Craig Hunegs to assume many of his boss Rosenblum's responsibilities. Warner Bros. TV president Peter Roth and international head Jeffrey Schlesinger will then report directly to Tsuhjihara, an individual with knowledge of the moves told TheWrap.

A WB spokesperson sent TheWrap the following statement: "As a matter of policy, we do not comment on rumors, speculation or personnel matters related to our company or its employees."

Rosenblum's departure had been presumably in the works since Tsujihara, the former president of the company's home entertainment unit, was upped to CEO in January, officially replacing Barry Meyer on March 1.

Rosenblum joined the company in 1989, part of its acquisition of Lorimar Pictures. Although many in the company viewed him as the obvious choice to replace Meyer, Tsujihara's work in the digital space gave him the upper hand.

"Obviously, I'm disappointed; who wouldn't be?" Rosenblum said in a statement in January. "Warner Bros. is a unique and special place and I know it will be in good hands with Kevin at the helm. I continue to be proud of our accomplishments and I have the most respect and admiration for our amazing team at the studio — a team that is thriving in an ever-transforming business."

Deadline was the first to report Rosenblum's exit.
