Bryan Cranston Wears Ballerina Tights in Wacky Baseball Commercial (Video)

The ‘Breaking Bad’ star seeks inspiration everywhere as he re-creates great playoff moments in (fake) one-man show

Bryan Cranston goes from “Breaking Bad” to bad baseball in a silly commercial for the MLB on TBS.

“I’ve been doing a lot of TV and movie work, but I felt it was time to get back to the basics by diving right into my great passion — baseball,” the Emmy-winning actor says in the video released Tuesday.

Thus, his creative brainchild: dramatizing the greatest moments of the major league postseason in a (fake) one-man show. “It would be my greatest acting challenge,” he says.

Cranston then watches cartoons of Bugs Bunny pitching. “You never know when inspiration will hit you,” he says. Donning a New York Yankees uniform and trotting around the bases, he smacks an audience member in the face with a baseball.

He even puts on black tights and practices his ballet skills. “Come on, Cranston!” he yells at himself, while legendary baseball pitcher Pedro Martinez looks on with disappointment.

Cranston finishes by delivering a dramatic, spoken-word rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
