ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” is bringing yet another character from its “Avengers” franchise to the small screen.

Cobie Smulders will guest-star on the show’s April 29 episode, a network representative told TheWrap.

Smulders will reprise her role as SHIELD agent Maria Hill, which she played in both feature films “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “The Avengers,” as well as the “SHIELD” pilot episode. She’ll return for next year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Represented by UTA and ROAR, Smulders’ small screen credits include CBS’s recently wrapped “How I Met Your Mother,” on which she played Robin Scherbatsky, and Showtime’s “The L Word.”

Her movie credits also include “Delivery Man” and the voice of Wonder Woman in “The Lego Movie.”

Samuel L. Jackson, as “Avengers” SHIELD leader Nick Fury, and Jaimie Alexander, as “Thor’s” Lady Sif.

Smulders’ episode will air during a sweeps period, which informs advertising prices, so ABC is probably hoping for a ratings boost. But if Tuesday’s “Captain America” crossover is any indication, the show is having a tough time translating movie success to the small screen. Tuesday’s episode ratings was a series low for “SHIELD.”

TVLine first reported the casting.
