Cardinals’ Manager Tony La Russa to Talk Retirement on Letterman Tonight

La Russa announced retirement today, three days after World Series win

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa will talk to David Letterman tonight about his decision to retire today, three days after leading his team to a nail-biting World Series win.

The third-winningest manager in Major League Baseball history, La Russa has managed the Cardinals since 1996. He led them to their 11th world championship with their seven-game series against the Texas Rangers.

It was the third championship for La Russa, who also won in 1989 with the Oakland A’s and won again with the Cardinals in 2006.

Joining him on tonight's "Late Show With David Letterman" are actor Jesse Eisenberg and musical guests Puscifer. The show will also feature it's annual New Halloween Costumes segment. Maybe La Russa can go as himself?
