CBS has ordered another comedy pilot from “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, TheWrap has learned.

Titled “Distefano,” the half-hour multi-camera/hybrid sitcom is based on the comedy of Chris Distefano, who will co-executive produce and serve as story co-writer on the pilot. It centers on two 20-somethings who are raising their newborn daughter and merging their meddling families — one Puerto Rican, one Italian.

Bays and Thomas will co-write the pilot and executive produce alongside Brian Bockrath. Pamela Fryman will executive produce and direct. The pilot hails from Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios.

This marks Bays and Thomas’ second CBS pilot order of the season following the comedy “Real Life,” which is based on the web series “7p/10e” by Avital Ash, and will be written by “HIMYM” alum Hilary Winston.

The list of comedy pilots already ordered by the network also includes “9J, 9K & 9L,” from “Royal Pains” star Mark Feuerstein and “Me, Myself and I” from Dan Kopelman.
