Charlie Sheen’s TV Mom, Holland Taylor, Describes Him as ‘Cordial and Polite’ on the Set

Actress gives Sheen some some words of maternal support

No matter how much hot water Charlie Sheen finds himself in, he can always depend on his TV mom for support.

Sheen's "Two and a Half Men" co-star Holland Taylor — who plays Evelyn Harper, mother of Sheen's Charlie Harper character — has defended his behavior on the show to the Associated Press.

Taylor characterized the actor as a "cordial" and "polite" coworker who is going through "a sad and complicated time."

Taylor told the AP via email on Tuesday, "Charlie was cordial and polite with all of his cast mates and crew, sometimes even courtly — and always witty. We watched movies at his house occasionally — warm evenings with interesting, spirited conversation. This is the guy I know."

Taylor added. "In this very sad and complicated time, I really have no comment, beyond valuing my own history with Charlie, and my abiding affection for him."

Earlier on Tuesday, Sheen lashed out at his other co-worker, Jon Cryer, for not showing sufficient support for him, calling Cryer a "traitor" and a "turncoat."
