Ratings: ‘Chicago Justice’ Guilty of Getting Off to a Strong Start

“Chicago Justice” locked up its 10 p.m. time slot Wednesday with the series’ preview premiere.

Crossing that new one over with “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD,” NBC comfortably topped primetime outright — thanks Dick Wolf! The three-hour storyline even included a character from the shared “Chicago Med” universe.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Chicago Fire” at 8 posted a 1.7/7 and 9.1 million viewers. At 9, “Chicago PD” put up a 1.9/7 and 9.6 million viewers. “Chicago Justice” at 10 landed a 1.7/6 and 8.7 million viewers.

CBS and ABC tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.0/4. CBS was second in total viewers with 5.1 million, ABC was third with 3.4 million.

For CBS, the “Hunted” season finale at 8 nabbed a 1.2/5 and 4.8 million viewers. At 9, “Criminal Minds” had a 1.2/5 and 6.5 million viewers. A rerun followed.

For ABC, “The Goldbergs” at 8 got a 1.7/7 and 6.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “Modern Family” scored a 2.0/8 and 6.4 million viewers. Night 2 of miniseries “When We Rise” at 9 received a 0.6/2 and 2 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in viewers with 3.3 million. After a repeat, “Star” had a 1.1/4 and 3.4 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.9 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million. “Arrow” at 8 got a 0.6/2 and 1.6 million viewers. At 9, “The 100” received a 0.4/1 and 1 million viewers.
