Chris Pine Croons Actual School Closures to Tune of ‘Let It Snow’ (Video)

“Star Trek” star is “here to let you know, which schools are closed, schools are closed — schools are closed, kids”

Chris Pine needed two sets of mittens — but no shoes — to help Jimmy Kimmel inform East Coast kids if their schools are closed today thanks to the weekend’s blizzard.

“Oh, the weather outside is snowy/Going to school would sure be blowy,” the “Star Trek” star started. (Read that attribution aloud three times fast.)

Pine then dropped knowledge of which doors would truly be shuttered on Tuesday, thrilling the students of schools such as Elizabeth, N.J.’s Charles J. Hudson and North Carolina’s Mocksville Elementary.

A ton of Garden State schools were included, actually, since New Jersey got absolutely hammered during Saturday’s storm.

“Play Xbox and eat Cheetos/You’re in luck — learning sucks!/Go home — schools are closed!” Pine hit the big notes at the end of the musical number.

Watch the video above — especially if you’re home from school with nothing to do.
