Cinedigm Names Two New Vice Presidents

Cinedigm tapped Jeff Reichert, a Magnolia Pictures executive, as vice president of theatrical marketing and Stephanie Bruder from New Video as vice president of marketing

 

Cinedigm Entertainment Group named two new marketing executives in what it says is an the final stage of a round of executive appointments.

The company tapped Jeff Reichert, a Magnolia Pictures executive, as vice president of theatrical marketing and Stephanie Bruder from New Video as vice president of marketing.

The entertainment group, a division of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp., said it plans to acquire and release up to 24 theatrical titles in 2013 in what it called "major inroads" in the theater distribution marketplace.

The company said it is "actively looking for titles at this year's Toronto Film Festival."

The entertainment group was formed when Cinedigm acquired entertainment distributor New Video, the digital content aggregator where Bruder previously headed the marketing department.

“Both Stephanie and Jeff are deeply knowledgeable, well-rounded industry players who will be ideal partners for filmmakers and content creators seeking innovative ways to market feature film and entertainment content, while exploiting every opportunity for innovation in VOD, digital and mobile distribution," Susan Margolin, co-president of the group, said in a statement.

Reichert previously served as senior vice president of marketing and publicity at Magnolia, wher ehe oversaw the campaigns for films like "Man on Wire," "Jesus Camp" and "No End In Sight."

Under his tenure, the company launched the Magnet genre label and helped release its initial slate of titles, including "The Host" and "Let the Right One In."

Before joining Magnolia, he worked at IFC Films in top-level marketing and sales positions.

Bruder had a long history at New Video, heading the digital sales and marketing from 2007-2011. She helped expand the company's digital distribution, building relationships with 13 new platforms and releasing 1,400 independent feature films and hundreds of television seasons.

Prior to New Video, the she was in charge of online marketing for KOCH Lorber Films, and managed campaigns for Focus Features and Universal Pictures at the marketing firm Special Ops Media.
