CNBC has renewed “West Texas Investors Club” for a second season, the network announced Tuesday.

The series follows Mike “Rooster” McConaughey and his friend and business partner Butch Gilliam, both self-made millionaires in Texas’ oil fields, who now look for entrepreneurs with business ideas in which they can invest. The series also features Gil Prather, a friend of McConaughey’s who is not an investor.

On the first season of “West Texas Investors Club,” McConaughey and Gilliam invested $1.97 million in the ideas of aspiring entrepreneurs.

“I’ve made more good deals drinking beer than I ever made not drinking beer, I can tell you that,” McConaughey told TheWrap ahead of the show’s August premiere.

Charlie Ebersol, Jason Henry and Dan Lanigan serve as executive producers on the series. The show is produced by The Ebersol Lanigan Company.

“West Texas Investors Club” airs Tuesdays at 10/9c.
