The company behind the Batman movies has tapped a veteran Marvel executive for one of its top positions. 

Tim Connors has been named chief operating officer at Legendary Entertainment, the company said Thursday. 

“I'm proud to have been a part of what the Marvel team has accomplished over the past 6 years and honored to be joining Legendary at a time when the company is on the verge of significant growth," Connors said in a statement. "They are spearheading bold new initiatives which I am excited to help them accomplish.”

CAA Brings in Jeff Berry as CFO

Creative Artists Agency has tapped veteran corporate executive Jeff Berry to be its chief financial officer, the agency said Thursday. 

CAA named Jeff Berry CFO

Berry is a newcomer to the entertainment industry. He most recently served as CFO of the cosmetics company, Physicians Formula Holdings.

He has also held top executive positions at Del Monte Foods and McKinsey & Co., after beginning his career at Bain & Co.

At CAA, Berry will oversee the company’s finances and accounting, and play a leading role in the company’s strategic planning.

Legendary Pictures has pulled the plug on "Paradise Lost," an individual close to the film confirmed to TheWrap. 

The company was concerned that costs would balloon out of control on the big-budget adaptation of John Milton's epic poem.

Anchor Bay Buys North American Rights to 'Excision'
