Comedy Central Gets Seth MacFarlane to Host Trump Roast

‘Family Guy’ creator first to emcee back-to-back as show takes aim at The Donald in return to New York

Seth MacFarlane will serve as the host of the "Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump," the network announced on Wednesday.

It's the second consecutive Comedy Central roast that MacFarlane, creator the "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland Show," has emceed.

He served as as "roast master" of Comedy Central's skewering of David Hassellhoff last year.

The roasters and attending talent will be announced soon, Comedy Central said.

Trump's roast will tape at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on March 9 and will air on Comedy Central later in the month. It's the first time since 2005 the franchise will tape in New York.

That year, Jeff Foxworthy was roasted in what Comedy Central says is the top-rated "Roast" of all-time.
