Comedy Central Re-Ups ‘Tosh.0’

In addition to ordering 25 episodes of comedian’s series, network also commits to tour package including DVD and special

Comedy Central wants to stay in the Daniel Tosh business in a big way.

Not only did the channel pony up for a super-sized 25-episode second-season order for the comedian’s series, “Tosh.0,” it also signed him to a tour package that will include a DVD and CD release, as well as a one-hour stand-up special.

The 25-episode order for “Tosh.0,” which features the comic lampooning various Internet destinations, is the biggest series commitment, at least in terms of volume, ever made by Viacom-owned Comedy Central.

In its first campaign, which premiered June 4, “Tosh.0” averaged 1.3 million viewers, third in its time slot on all of cable for Comedy Central’s prime demo of males 18-24.
