Conan O’Brien’s Head Gets Bitten Off in ‘Sharktopus Vs. Pteracuda’ (Video)

The TBS late night host showed his cameo in the Roger Corman horror flick… and it’s a doozy

It looks like Conan O’Brien has found the perfect movie to showcase his acting skills.

During Wednesday’s episode, O’Brien showed his complete cameo from “Sharktopus Vs. Ptercauda,” the Roger Corman schlockfest that will be airing on SyFy on August 2. In it he plays himself, or at least the jokey, overconfident version of himself, complete with ascot and pretty assistant. In the amazing 90-second cameo, O’Brien manages to not only get a couple of laughs, but also acts like a jerk as a he berates a bunch of volleyball-playing dudes bothering him nearby.

That’s when the sharktopus gets him. It’s hard to describe the scene, so you’ll just have to watch it and see for yourself. Suffice to say, the scene ends with those same volleyball dudes batting around Conan’s bloody head (which looks oh so real). O’Brien and sidekick Andy Richter, dressed in opening night tuxedos, sit amazed at the scene, and the crowd gives Conan a deserved standing ovation.

Of course, it’s all a joke. But we want to see Conan in every cheesy SyFy movie from here on out. Any way he can be edited into “Sharknado 2?”
