‘Conan’s Writers’ TBS Special Tapes at Chicago Fest

Andy Richter and Reggie Watts topline special, taping live at TBS Presents a “Very Funny” Festival: Just for Laughs

Andy Richter and several of Conan O’Brien’s writers will team up for "Team Coco Presents Conan’s Writers Live," a one-hour special taping live for TBS.

The special will tape June 17 in Chicago during the second edition of TBS Presents a “Very Funny” Festival: Just for Laughs. The festival runs June 15-19.

"Conan’s Writers" has played to soldout audiences in Los Angeles; it’s coming to Chicago for one night only.  

The evening also will feature comedian Reggie Watts, who’s opening for O’Brien on his "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour."

The show will taped at the Bank of America Theater in Chicago and premiere Sunday, June 27, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS.

Also on the schedule of performers at the festival: Uncle’s Brother, a comedy trio comprising Tim Meadows, Joe Canale and Brad Morris, who will perform at the Annoyance Theater on Friday, June 18, at 10 p.m. CT. The cast of Annoyance’s sketch show  "Swear Jar" opens. Meadows also will host the midnight Sketchubator at the end of Sketch-travaganza: The Best of Sketchfest at Studio BE on Friday, June 18. 

Drinking Buddies will perform with T.J. Miller at the Lincoln Lodge on Wednesday, June 16, at 9 p.m. CT., with special guests Kyle Kinane, Mike Bridenstine and host James Fritz.

Miller also will join the show for Chicago Underground Comedy presents: Secret Big-Time Local Comedy Showcase at the Beat Kitchen on Tuesday, June 15, at 8 p.m.
