Twitter, you may need to swallow your pride on this one.

#Couchgate has been solved. And it’s not what you thought it was.

On Tuesday, people on social media went berserk over a photo of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway sitting on a couch in the Oval Office with her feet tucked under her and her shoes on the sofa. But now, a second photo shows Conway leaning back to take a photo of President Trump and the roomful of representatives from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

This second photo seems to show that Conway was simply doing her job and was not being disrespectful by her seemingly too-casual pose in the highest office in the land.

On Tuesday, before the second photo surfaced, Twitter users were split on the situation: Some viewed her pose as a sign of insolence. Others said it wasn’t a big deal.

“Conway with her shoes on the couch in Oval Office – consistent with general level of disrespect Trump team has shown,” one user tweeted.

“Sure, Kellyanne, just make yourself right at home???? On an Oval Office couch??? With all those people there?????? Why not????” wrote another.

Conway was the first successful female presidential campaign manager in history, but lately has been caught up in various scandals, including misspeaking about the details of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s resignation and being accused of an ethics violation when she promoted Ivanka Trump’s clothing line on Fox News during an interview on “Fox & Friends.”

Frequent TV appearances have resulted in Conway emerging as a household name who is frequently mocked on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Many Conway defenders have pointed to various photos of President Obama with his feet on the desk in the Oval Office.
