The CBS hosts will swap roles for “The Price Is Right” and “The Late Late Show” telecasts on Tuesday, April 1.
On Monday’s “The Late Late Show,” Carey and Ferguson announced the switcheroo: “Now this is for April Fools,’ so don’t tell anyone!” the regular host of the CBS late night comedy talk show joked.
As one-time host of “The Late Late Show,” Carey will interview comedy legend Carl Reiner, Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Connie Schultz, and rocker Joan Jett, who will also perform “Any Weather” with The Blackhearts. Announcer George Gray and the “Price Is Right” models, Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster and Manuela Arbeláez, will join Carey.

When Ferguson takes the reigns on “The Price Is Right,” he will be just the fourth person ever to host the game show for the network (in addition to Carey, Bob Barker and Dennis James).
The Scottish comedian’s robot skeleton sidekick, Geoff Peterson, and pantomime horse, Secretariat, will join him as models on the daytime game show.
“The Late Late Show” is executive produced by Peter Lassally.
“The Price Is Right” is produced by FremantleMedia North America; Mike Richards and Jennifer Mullin are the executive producers.
