Gormley named president of theatrical advertising and Gitlin is president of television and gaming

Create Advertising Group promoted Carrie Gormley and Jonathan Gitlin to top posts at the entertainment marketing agency.

Gormley has been promoted to president of theatrical advertising and Gitlin will take on the role of president of television and gaming. Both will report to David Stern, CEO and co-founder of the 100-member agency. Create develops film trailers, television spots and other audio visual material used in entertainment marketing.

Create has worked with most major studios on high-profile campaigns including “The Lego Movie,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Thor: The Dark World” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”

The company was recently nominated for four upcoming Key Art Awards for its theatrical trailer for “Lucy” as well as its television work for “Fargo” and “Orange is the New Black.” Additionally, its branding division has worked closely with brands such as Netflix, Machinima, the BBC and Sony Playstation.
