CW Sets Premiere Date for Freaky Drama ‘Cult’ (Video)

"Cult," about a series called "Cult" that stars a cult leader, will premiere Feb. 19

Prepare to have your mind blown — the CW's new drama "Cult" will premiere Feb. 19, the network said Tuesday.

The series, which stars Matt Davis of the network's "The Vampire Diaries" and "Melrose Place" star Jessica Lucas, follows an investigative journalist whose brother disappears after claiming that a hit TV show titled "Cult" — whose rabid fans are obsessed with the show's charismatic cult leader, Billy Grimm — is out to harm him.

Following the disappearance, the journalist begins to take his brother's paranoia seriously, uncovering the dark underworld of the series.

Alona Tal (“Supernatural”) and Robert Knepper (“Prison Break") also star in the series, which is produced by Fake Empire and Rockne S. O’Bannon Television in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios.
