CW Sets Debut for Event Series ‘Labyrinth’

The network also announced season finale dates for its current slate

The CW will debut its four-part Holy Grail event series, “Labyrinth,” on Thursday, May 22 and May 23 at 8 p.m., as its current series air their season finales.

Announced in January during the Television Critics Association Press Tour, “Labyrinth” follows the lives of two women who are separated by centuries, but united in their common search for the Holy Grail.

The series stars John Hurt, Sebastian Stan, Jessica Brown-Findlay and Tom Felton.

Co-produced by Tandem Communications and Film Afrika Worldwide, in association with Scott Free Films and Universal Production Partners (UPP), “Labyrinth” is an adaption of Kate Mosse’s bestselling novel of the same name. Series will be adapted by writer Adrian Hodges and directed by Christopher Smith.

The CW is boasting an uptick of 14 percent in the advertiser-sought demographic of adults 18-49 this season: a 0.8 rating/2 share versus the prior season’s 0.7/2.

Year-to-year, the younger-skewing network is up 1 percent in total viewers; primetime programming is averaging 1.88 million viewers, which just trumps 1.84 million from this time last year.
